Recently, I purchased the Toshiba 19LV506 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with built-in DVD Player for my boat and undoubtedly, I am very glad that I bought this unit. It is a beautiful TV, nicely designed, well constructed and is extremely sharp looking. The white trim is exceedingly attractive and can fit well in any setting or room.
The image quality leaves nothing else to be desired with a LCD HDTV. The colors are sharp and brilliant and the built in DVD players without default works quite well and is certainly a pleasure to see. This TV is adequately designed from the user interface standpoint. Besides, the solo remote control of the TV can control the functions of the TV in an integrated and intuitive fashion, thus you need not to switch between the TV controller and DVD. In addition, the menus are simple to distinguish that you can really start operating the TV without going through the manual of the TV, although the TV’s manual is simple to follow and well written.
When it comes to the technical details of this HDTV then too it stands apart from the regular sets being equipped with built-in slot DVD player loading, HDMI input, DivX certified and high-gloss white finish. I tried using the Divx DVD’s and surprisingly they worked really well. Once, I thought that the DVD audio will not be much strong but when I tried it in my room, it was much more than sufficient only at 60 percent maximum volume. The quick scan slow motion multi camera angle selects Dolby Digital as well as DTS compatible bottom mount speakers treble / bass balance controls the MP3 play back in a very efficient manner.

Through a minor setting, I can change easily change this model into a PC from its PC input connector. Its 2 HDMI inputs help me to connect my video game and VCD player in a convenient manner. Its in-built ATSC / QAM / NTSC Tuners help me to view DTV and analog TV. Sharp’s LC-26DV24U offers 26" screen size screen with a distinctive design.
The LC-26DV24U occupies with a side-loading automatic scan DVD player which helps me to listen the voice of TV clearly. I have been taking advantage of an excellent HD picture quality of 720p through my new Toshiba 32AV502U 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV. This model has proved to be a great accessory for my top quality home theatre and I also use it as a PC monitor sometimes through its PC input. It has an in-built ATSC/ NTSC/ QAM digital tuning feature allowing me to tune the standard cable channels and also off-air digital broadcast channels, apart from digital cable-in-the-clear broadcast channels.
As far as its installation is concerned, it is easy to be set on the stand and its cable hook up, play station and TIVO unit are very easy. The initial setting of all the channels is pretty fast and easy and the picture quality is just great. The crisp picture quality can be received through an outdoor/ indoor antenna and if you are not interested in getting a cable or satellite, you can simply install an antenna and there will be no compression and the images will be sharper than you could imagine.
The menu can be easily navigated and used, and I usually keep my settings of video on sports only, as it gives me brightest pictures which I like. However, the picture can also be adjusted in the preference mode and customize the brightness, sharpness, backlight, contrast, tint and color.
As far as the sound quality is concerned, the TV gives full sound. The treble and base seems to be well balanced and the sound system is just perfect for my needs. Various inputs, including component cables, HDMI, S-Video and PC inputs are situated on the TV’s back while the Video 2 input is situated on its side.
As a whole, I am really satisfied with this TV and it has done its job really well by displaying excellent and non-pixelated images. Being energy star, it also helps in saving money and energy.
